Bio.
Prior to joining Wayne State University, Dr. Ayoobi worked as a simulation engineer at EcoMotors in Allen Park, Michigan. He joined EcoMotors in May 2015 with the main focus on piston thermal management through CFD simulations.
Before EcoMotors, in January 2011, he joined Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to pursue his major PhD in Mechanical Engineering as well as his minor PhD in Mathematics. During his time at Louisiana State University, Dr. Ayoobi  focused on numerical simulations of premixed Combustion at Small Scales, where he studied premixed flame dynamics and characteristics with implementing detailed chemical kinetics. He also investigated the potential use of syngas for such applications as well as production of syngas from renewable feedstocks. He completed his PhD under supervision of Prof. Ingmar Schoegl in 2015. He received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 2010 and 2007, respectively.
